![]() Then I consisntly blew up the batteries with the cheap 12V DC timer charger. In 1980 something my old man got me my first real RC car and he spent 2 days putting a tamiya Hotshot and cheap futaba stick radio system together. They sell convient RTR packages that parents and first timers can easily purchase and run that day. Traxxas has coma a long way but, they still are the Birthday/Xmas present type product. How about they just sell a chassis and save me the money. I'll get $50 for that on ebay if I'm lucky. Imediately the TX, RX and servo will be removed and replaced with better gear. So That means the rest of teh Mini Revo is worth $150 or more? For a chassis and cheap radio gear. But claims that no Live Z recalibration was needed for the Revo always surprised me as it seems almost impossible with the way the nozzles are mounted not to have minor variations in the distance between nozzle and sheet after nozzle swaps. I don't have a Revo, I use Dragon hotends. $300 does seem steep though, since you can get a Novak BL 380 system for $150 retail and I bet its better than the VXL. RE: Prusa MINI+, E3D Revo Micro and the first layer. I got that cause the T-maxx was breaking too much. ![]() I beat the heck out of an Ofna and never had to fix or beef up the drivetrain. : E Revo Upgrades 1-48 of 639 results for 'e revo upgrades' Results Aluminum Front Gear Box Protectoer Mount Blue for Traxxas E-REVO 2. $600 and you may still need to upgrade? The only reason I'm not back into nitro is the noise. There are already optional stronger gear sets for the Savage Flux. What I cannot believe is that people will pay $600 for a BL Savage or Revo. At least with Traxxas, if the part is cruddy or needing improvement someone will make a better part for it due to the large Traxxas following. Hopefully Traxxas makes it dual battery (in parallel 2 x1600mah), slipper clutch, 1/10 single servo, not two tiny ones, 2in of ground clearance and waterproof would be nice. Good luck on finding parts for that and it would cost over $300 to make into something special. 4Wd would be good, may still be too light for decent traction off road. Same goes for the $150 4WD Hotshot model. Have a Tamiya Tamtech but its 2WD & worthless on loose ground with a BL system and pretty much discontinued. Had a CEN ME16MT with a VXL and it was fast but the plastic seemed cheap. I'm jones'n for a mini and I'm not wasting any more money on the ones currently out. There was a release date of Feb but its not even on the site yet and the Summit was on the site at least a month before it hit the stores. But you cannot use a custom firmware with the MINI+ (except if you 'break the appendix' on your motherboard). ![]() the brushed model comes with a 550 size mount paired with an XL-2.5 and Titan 550 (may overheat ESC since it was designed for the Titan 380 motor). Last time I talked to them it was in beta testing. Installing a REVO hotend in Prusa Mini+ requires a firmware modification (because of thermistor mode which is different from Prusas stock thermistor ). RE: 1/10 system in 1/16 e-revo the BL version comes with the mini 380 size BL system so its a 380 size mount, obviously. Anyone have a news on a release date yet.
